Saddlebrook Equestrian Center is proud to stand, for your consideration, the FPZV Friesian stallion Bogart von Jorrit. Proudly bred here in the U.S., Bogart is the product of true excellence in breeding. His sire, Jorrit PM, was the first Friesian stallion to compete in open competition at the Grand Prix. Jorrit claimed several top honors including USDF Horse of the Year at Prix St. George, USDF Horse of the Year 6^th place Grand Prix Freestyle and was awarded the FN Golden Horse Award. As Jorrit’s only FPZV approved son available for breeding, Bogart brilliantly combines his father’s power, elegance and showmanship. Bogart’s elegant type and confirmation are attributes acquired from his mother, the model mare Xanadu PM.

     A sporthorse type, with gorgeous baroque elegance Bogart refines mares without sacrificing gaits, quality, temperament, rideability, trainability and beauty. It doesn’t matter what breed your mare is, Bogart’s magnificent qualities are what every breeder could ask for in a stallion. By matching him to your mare you are drawing upon the most desired attributes you could hope for in your foal. He has three outstanding gaits. His trainer, Paige Peters-Windham has told us that she could not hope for more in a mount. “His natural suppleness combined with fantastic quality in all of his gaits makes dressage easy for him. When you combine that with his willingness, work ethic and superb rideability you have a horse that is very very hard to beat! Judges love him, spectators are blown away by him and everyone who meets him comments on his sweet and playful nature. If I could change anything about him, I wouldn’t!”

 

   His successes speak for themselves. In 2008, Bogart placed 5^th nationally in the USDF Horse of the Year rankings for Third Level. He was 6^th place in the USDF/HOY Third Level Freestyle, 4^th place in the USDF Musical Freestyle Challenge for Third Level. We are especially proud of his finish as the Champion USDF/FPZV Horse of the Year for 3^rd Level. For all Friesians competing in open competition this year, including those registered with the FPZV and FHANA, Bogart’s overall averages at 3^rd level make him the most successful Friesian at that level.
